According to a news release, their office responded to Springs Street for a reported boxer dog.

The dog was found tied to a tree near a creek. An unidentified female flagged a passing motorist down to report finding the dog at that location.

The motorist took the dog and called 911 to report the incident.

The Humane Society secured the dog, who is now being cared for at that facility.
