A new UBI program, similar to stimulus payments, will pay caregivers, including parents, monthly checks of $450.
This program is out of Ithaca, New York, and will be sending 110 people the payments for one year.
This means 12 payments of $450 will go to these individuals.

This is a privately funded program for low income caregivers that covers costs like food, housing, and medical expenses.
Those who qualify applied for the program between Dec. 10 and Dec. 17, 2021.
400-600 applications were submitted, but only 110 were chosen.
Payment updates for the Producers Initiative through the USDA
In order to qualify for stimulus UBI payments, participants must be caregivers in Ithaca, New York.
Income requirements are that your 2021 income must be below 80% of the AMI.
For one person that’s $50,200.
A family of two is $57,400.
A family of four is $71,700.
The definition of a caregiver is someone who puts a significant amount of unpaid time toward a child or disabled child.
This also counts for people caregivers who are taking care of their parents.
Payments started in June and are through prepaid debit card.
