A barn fire in the town of Varick drew a full-county response Monday afternoon as thick black smoke and flames poured from the structure at 683 Hahnel Road.
The fire, reported around 5 p.m., was fully involved when first responders arrived. According to initial scanner traffic, the blaze threatened nearby buildings, including a shop and a residence.
Firefighters from every department in Seneca County were called in to contain the fire.
As of the latest available update, firefighters remained on scene battling the fire late-Monday. No information about injuries or property damage was provided in the dispatch.
