A house fire in Cayuga County triggered an aggressive multi-agency response overnight as fire crews shifted into a defensive attack to contain the well-involved structure.
According to updates from Cayuga/Seneca Fire Wire, responders confirmed the house was fully engulfed, prompting a “surround and drown” operation.
Multiple tankers and engines from across the region were dispatched, with apparatus entering from both the east and west sides of Ledyard Road.
Crews from Scipio, Poplar Ridge, Aurora, Southern Cayuga responded.
Rehab services were established on scene, and additional ALS support came from Fourtown.
