Victor girls lacrosse rolls past Fayetteville-Manlius to advance to state finals

The Victor Blue Devils and Fayetteville-Manlius Hornets faced off in the Class B state semifinal on Friday afternoon at Suny Cortland. The Blue Devils came out victorious by a score of 15-7.

Victor and Fayetteville-Manlius traded goals early in the game, but Victor went on a five-goal run to take a 10-5 lead into the break. The Blue Devils outscored the Hornets 5-2 in the second half to pull away for the victory.


Devon Livingston netted four goals to lead Victor, and Madison Mabbett had three, while goalkeeper Kennedy Schottland was outstanding.

Ava Angello scored four of the Hornets’ seven goals.

Victor will square off with Queensbury in the Class B championship game on Saturday morning at Suny Cortland. The opening draw is slated for 11:30 a.m.
