An Auburn man faces a number of charges after allegedly stabbing a security guard at a local bar.
Earlier in the spring a shooting took place at Swifty’s Tavern on Perrine Street, which prompted added security at the bar.
On May 29 around 2:20 a.m. police received a report of a stabbing.
Gregory Jordan, 39, of Auburn was charged with second-degree assault and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
He was arraigned and remanded to the Cayuga County Jail.
The victim, an unidentified security person working for the bar, was found bleeding from his neck when officers arrived.
His injuries were considered non-life threatening. However, he was transported to Auburn Community Hospital for care.
