Some Americans are able to apply for a one time stimulus payment of $1,000, but they’re running out of time with only 5 days remaining.
If approved, they may see the stimulus aid as early as this summer without filing an income tax return.
The income tax rebates and stimulus relief was announced by the New Mexico Taxation & Revenue Department and Human Services Department.
These two institutions are working together to provide taxpayers with financial relief.
New Mexican Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham signed the bill earlier in May.

These non-filers will need to file an application for the rebate.
Applications opened on May 2, 2022.
Eligibility for the stimulus rebate to non-filers
There are eligibility requirements residents must meet as non-filers to claim the tax credit.
Married couples or single parents with a dependent can collect a stimulus payment worth $1,000.
Single filers with no dependents can receive $500.
Low income seniors and individuals with disabilities can claim a stimulus payment as well.
This is all for non-filers.
There is $20 million available for non-filers to claim on a first come first serve basis.
If you qualify, New Mexico is urging you to apply before the funds are depleted.
The deadline is 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 31.
If the money runs out applications may close sooner.
The payment date will be July 31, 2022.
If the non-filer funds run out, residents still have the option of filing a tax return with the state of New Mexico.
