The county has reached an agreement on the purchase of a property in Dundee for one communications tower site and has signed a deal with Cayuga County to use a Cayuga County-owned site in Seneca County to cover the western part of Yates County. The legislature will hold a public hearing on June 13 on a local law that would create a county Department of Emergency Services that would oversee EMS and fire services throughout the county.
