The company DGL Group is recalling their hoverboards.
An article by Consumer Product Safety Commission says that these boards can continue moving once the rider has stopped controlling it, posing injury and fall hazards.
These boards were sold in the color black and have blue LED lights near the footpads.
The exact product and serial codes are listed below
- Hover-1 Superfly Hoverboards, model H1-SPFY – SPFY-BLK-GO-2008, SPFY-BLK-GO-2009, SPFY-BLK-GO-2010
There are 93,000 boards affected by this alert.
These were sold at Best Buy stores and Bestbuy.com nationwide.
They were sold from October 2020 through October 2021.
So far there are 29 reports of a software issue and four cases of minor injuries.
If you have purchased one of these boards stop use immediately and contact DGL Group in order to ship out the product for free repairs.
