Georgia
The deadline to apply for $850 a month in Georgia is today. May 17, In Her Hands, will close their application. More than 650 qualifying women will get $850 monthly payments for two years. Find additional information by clicking here.
In order to be eligible you must live in Old Fourth Ward, or parts of Sweet Auburn. You also must be:
- a woman that is at least 18
- suffered negative impact from Covid-19, which includes health problems or loss of employment
- income is at or below 200% of the federal poverty level
Colorado
Colorado residents only have a few weeks left to claim a one-time payment. It will be worth $400 for individuals and $800 for couples. Millions of taxpayers in Colorado are eligible.
The money comes as a tax rebate and is designed to offset inflation. In order to qualify, you must be a full time Colorado resident.
The payment is based on 2021 tax returns. It must be filed before May 31 in order to claim it. The payment should come in the mail in August or September this year.
