The Syracuse Mets had their three-game win streak snapped on Saturday evening with a 4-1 loss to the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders at PNC Field.
Syracuse’s offense struggled as they had just three hits. Their lone run came in the first inning when Daniel Palka belted a home run over the wall in left-center.
Veteran left-hander Mike Montgomery got the start for the Mets and allowed three runs on five hits over five innings while walking four and striking out four. Locke St. John allowed a run in relief while Tim Adleman and Just Dillon had scoreless outings.
The two teams will wrap up the six-game series on Sunday afternoon. The first pitch is slated for 1:05 p.m.
