Polaris issued a recall on their off-road vehicles.
According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, a battery cable in these vehicles is not routed correctly.
The cable can contact the prop shaft during use.
This can result in an electrical short.
Causing a fire hazard.
These vehicles have four seats.
And were sold in the following colors
- Lime
- Black
- Blue
The exact model affected by this recall is listed below
- the Model Year 2022 RZR Pro R 4 Premium and RZR Pro R 4 Ultimate Recreational Off-Road Vehicles
There are around 1,160 units affected by this recall.
11 were sold in Canada.
These vehicles were sold at Polaris dealers nationwide.
From May 2021 through April 2022.
As of right now, there has been one reported case of a vehicle losing power after startup.
There have been no reported cases of fire or injuries.
