Yamaha is best know for it’s bikes and motorcycles.

Consumer Product Safety Commission just announced a recall for some of Yamaha’s motorcycles.

The gear shift assembly can break away from the crankcase.

This can cause unintentional gear shifting posing a crash hazard.

The motorbike being recalled in this alert is the 2022 Yamaha competition off-road motorcycle.

These bikes were sold in two different colors

  • Blue
  • Monster Energy Racing Edition

The bikes will also have one of the following model numbers

  • YZ125N2L
  • YZ125N2ME

The model number can be found on the left and right side of the bike.

These defected bikes were sold at Yamaha dealers nation wide.

From July 2021 through January 2022.

Their is about 760 bikes affected by this recall.

Their has been no reported cases of incidents or injuries related to this recall.

If you have purchased on of these bikes stop use immediately.

And contact your local Yamaha dealer for a free repair.

The company is working to contact all known buyers.
