Investigation remains active after stabbing in Seneca Falls: Victim airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital

The Seneca Falls Police Department has provided an update on the incident that shut down a portion of Mynderse Street on Wednesday.

According to a news release, around 11:40 a.m. officers were dispatched to Mynderse Street for the report of a vehicle that crashed into a tree.

Upon arrival, officers learned that there was a physical altercation involving three-known individuals, where one sustained multiple stab wounds.


The victim refused to cooperate with police and was airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital. His injuries were considered non-life threatening, according to police.

New York State Police, New York State Park Police, and Seneca County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene, according to the Seneca Falls Police Department.

Police are asking for anyone with information about the incident to contact them. No arrests were publicized in the latest update from law enforcement, but those involved were described as ‘known’ parties.


Large police presence on Mynderse Street in Seneca Falls

A significant law enforcement presence was reported on Mynderse Street in Seneca Falls during the mid-morning and early-afternoon hours on Wednesday.

Photos from the scene between the railroad tracks and Fall Street showed around a half dozen police cruisers.
