On April 30, 2022, at 10:00 a.m., volunteers are invited to join Lucky Hare Brewing Co. & the Finger Lakes Forest Service to ready the Finger Lakes National Forest for the 2022 season. This is a rain or shine event. Volunteer opportunities including planting new trees, maintaining the boardwalk that was started in September 2020, and collecting unwanted trash along our trails. Volunteers are asked to meet at Lucky Hare Brewing Company (6085 Beckhorn Rd., Hector, NY) at 10:00 a.m. to sign the volunteer waiver. All other tools/PPE will be provided by the Forest Service.
“We are excited to partner with our colleagues at the Finger Lakes National Forest,” said Ian Conboy, co-owner. “We ask that volunteers carpool as much as possible and ride with whomever they arrive with. As a thank you, (and maybe an incentive!), all volunteers are invited to come back to Lucky Hare for a complimentary pint!”
Volunteers are also invited to satisfy their appetites at Babe’s Burger, which will open at 1:00 p.m. and is quickly approaching its one-year anniversary.
Special Brewery Tour on April 30
“We are opening our doors for a special experience to get a look behind-the-scenes at Lucky Hare Brewing Company,” said Conboy. “If you’re looking for a gift for a craft beer fan, we think this is a great choice!”
Visitors are invited to tour the production facility (2141 NYS 414 Watkins Glen, NY) at either 1:00 p.m. or 3:00 p.m. During the hour-long tours, employees will share details about the production process and showcase state-of-the-art equipment.
“We will be talking about our brewing process and the inner workings of why we do what we do all while we sample some fresh beers from the tanks and taps,” said Conboy.

Lucky Hare Brewing’s 6th Anniversary Party in Hector
On May 21, 2022, at 12:00 p.m., Lucky Hare Brewing is having a birthday party to celebrate the brewery’s sixth year and Babe’s Burger’s first year in operation. In addition to new releases, the event will feature sounds from the Analogue Sons and the Dusty Bottle Band. Please carpool as possible and bring lawn chairs. This event is family and dog-friendly with complimentary admission.
“It has been a long road and we CANNOT wait to celebrate,” said Conboy. “As always we will be releasing some super special beers for this event (they are going to be worth the wait). Thank you everyone for all of your support over these last six years.”
