Pinwheels & Promises campaign pops up in Steuben County

The crowds showed up and so did the rain and hail — but nothing could dampen the smiles of participants at one of the Pinwheels & Promises events held Saturday throughout Steuben County.

Coordinated through the Child Abuse Steuben task force, which includes the county Youth Bureau, county Department of Social Service and county Public Health as well as related agencie,s the annual event spotlights the need to celebrate children and a promise to keep them safe.

The next Pinwheel & Promises “Pop-up” events are slated for Wednesday (Apr. 13) in Corning and Bath.
