After being closed for two years due to the pandemic, the Social Security Administration has finally announced the date their offices plan to reopen.
The announcement was made by the SSA on Monday that offices were going to reopen this month.
Beginning April 7, 2022, visitors may now walk in to the offices for services.
The SSA still suggests using the online services if possible before choosing to walk in and being forced to wait.

The office tends to be busier first thing in the morning.
This is also true for earlier in the week as well as earlier in the month.
April Social Security checks
With April beginning, checks are set to go out this month, the average amount being $1,657.
The payments are sent the second, third, and fourth Wednesday of each month.
When you receive it depends on when your birthday falls.
If your birthday lands between the 1st and the 10th, your check goes out the second Wednesday of the month.
Birthdays that land between the 11th and 20th will see their check on the third Wednesday of the month.
Anyone with a birthday land on the 21st through the end of the month will see their check on the fourth Wednesday of the month.
When will there be payments in April?
The payments in April will be going out first on Wednesday, April 13 for those with birthdays on the 1st through 10th.
The second check for those with birthdays between the 11th and 20th will go out Wednesday, April 20.
The final check will go out Wednesday, April 27 for those with birthdays on the 21st and later.
