The Yankees made another trade on Sunday.
The team acquired right-hander Miguel Castro from the Mets in exchange for left-hander Joely Rodríguez.
Castro gives the Yankees another late-inning bullpen option alongside Aroldis Chapman, Jonathan Loaisiga, and Chad Green.
The 27-year-old appeared in 69 games for the Mets last season, posting a 3.45 ERA and 9.9 K/9 in 70 1/3 innings.
Castro has been extremely effective against right-handed batters, limiting them to a .676 OPS throughout his Major League career.
This is a very rare trade as it was just the 16th trade between the two teams in their histories.
