Ryan Bates will be returning to Buffalo.
General manager Brandon Beane confirmed Monday that the Bills will match the Chicago Bears offer sheet for the offensive lineman.
Bates was a restricted free agent, meaning he was able to sign with any team, but the Bills had the right to match the offer and they did.
The 25-year-old has only started four games in his career, but several teams showed interest in him. In addition to the Bears, Bates also visited the New England Patriots and Minnesota Vikings.
Bates has appeared in 41 games over three seasons in Buffalo.
