Before moving into their home in Macedon, a young couple was warned the house would come with about four or five orange tabby cats- in actuality, there were a lot more than a few cats lurking around.
“It turned out there was a lot more than just like a handful, there was more like 15 or 16. So we were a little overwhelmed. Not gonna lie,” said Emily Bott, who purchased the home with fiancé Dylan Loewke, according to WROC.
As a former Rescue and Foster Coordinator at Lollypop Farm, Bott used her skills to prepare a special room for the cats. The space is stocked with food, heaters, treats, cat trees, and toys. The couple even had all the cats spayed and neutered.
Bott plans to add even more upgrades to the cat sanctuary soon. You can follow her on Instagram and TikTok @FreedomFarmhouse to follow the cats’ journey!
