The City of Geneva says it will enact winter parking rules effect this weekend. The news comes as forecasters with the National Weather Service issued a Winter Storm Watch.
Winter parking restrictions in the city will start Monday at 2 a.m. and run until further notice. Officials say this will give local road crews the opportunity to plow both sides of streets safely.
“Right now, it looks like the biggest snow we’ve seen since last winter. Ballpark 1-.1.5′ of snow. The placement of the heaviest snow could still change, but I wanted to give you a heads up,” forecasters from Flower City Weather Co. told City Officials.
Geneva is asking residents to remove cars from the street by Sunday night to meet the Monday 2 a.m. start of winter parking rules.
The Winter Parking Restriction fine is now $75.
