Seneca Falls woman charged with DWI after one vehicle crash

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on the 24th of December, 2021 at around 10:12 P.M., Deputies responded to the area of 676 Gravel Road in the Town of Tyre for the report of a one vehicle property damage accident.

A White 2019 Ford RGE being operated by 25 year old Shelby L. Pokrzywa of Seneca Falls was traveling South on Gravel Road when it left its designated lane and collided with a bridge structure. Pokrzywa did not sustain any injuries as a result of the crash. An investigation into the accident showed that at the time of the accident, Pokrzywa was intoxicated. Pokrzywa was arrested for DWI, Aggravated DWI, Driving with .08 of 1% of alcohol in her blood, and Failure to Use Designated Lane. Pokrzywa was transported to the Seneca County Jail where she was processed for the charges.

Pokrzywa was released on an appearance ticket and is expected to report to the Tyre Town Court on the 12th of January, 2022 to answer for the charges against her.
