Americans that collect monthly food stamp SNAP benefits or Social Security checks can expect to see them sooner with President Joe Biden’s executive order.
The executive order is supposed to make necessary services for Americans quicker across the board.
Included in the order is a requirement for the IRS to return phone calls to Americans instead of making them wait on hold.
Other services that will be improved for Americans
A new online tool will be provided to those looking to receive Social Security benefits so they don’t need to wait as long.
A portal is being created for those on Medicare to help guide them to save money on services and medications.
Obtaining food stamps, or SNAP benefits, will be easier for Americans because approving eligibility will be made easier.
When these new improvements will be provided has not been made clear.
These services were announced just as SSI and Social Security recipients get ready to receive their first checks for 2022 with the added 5.9% COLA increase.
