State police responded to a report of a vehicle blocking traffic on Yellow Mills Road in the town of Farmington.
Shortly before arriving at the scene, troopers were advised that the driver, later identified as Justin Farron, was passed out behind the wheel.
Troopers determined that Farron’s vehicle had gone off the road, traveled through a ditch, then back onto the road.
He failed a number of field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest for driving while ability impaired by drugs. He was also charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance.
The charges will be answered at a later date.
