Some dependents as well as adults who saw their income go down are eligible.

What are Plus up stimulus checks?

Plus up payments are extra stimulus checks given to people who already got a check based on their 2019 tax return information.

Some people had their income drop from 2019 to 2020.

Some people may have had another child or saw their income fall to a different threshold between 2019 and 2020. This means that maybe they weren’t eligible for that third check, but now they are.

This works the same for anyone that may have added a disabled or elderly dependent during the year 2020.

How do I claim the money?

To claim, you need to file a federal tax return.

This payment is sent separately from your 2020 tax refund and is sent within two weeks of your processed return.

About 165 million payments were sent out, with 500,000 being direct deposit.
