Residents of California who are eligible will receive a stimulus check worth up to $1,100.
9 million are expected to get a check before 2021 ends.
Starting Nov. 29 another round of checks will be sent out.

These checks are thanks to the Golden State Stimulus II program started in California.
If your check is being mailed it may take up to 3 weeks to receive.
Who qualifies and when will checks be sent?
To qualify your AGI must be between $1 and $75,000.

Income that counts is any wages made with self employment, tips, interest, dividends, income from rent, retirement income and gains from selling property.
Social Security as income is not counted, so if that’s all a person gets then they do not qualify for a check.
To qualify people need to have filed their income taxes for 2020 by Oct. 15.

Checks are being sent based on the last three digits of a zip code.
The zip codes being used are off of people’s 2020 tax returns.
Here is the schedule for all remaining checks and zip codes
- 585-719: November 29, 2021 through December 17, 2021
- 720-927: December 13, 2021 through December 31, 2021
- 928-999: December 27, 2021 through January 11, 2022
Direct deposit payments were sent in Sept. and Oct.

If you filed your taxes after Sept. 1 it may take an additional 45 days to process your return and get a check.
The Golden State Stimulus was started as a way to help California residents struggling financially with the pandemic.
The Golden State Stimulus I checks were already sent earlier in 2021.
