Deputies report the arrest of a Lyons man following an investigation into a domestic incident that happened in Arcadia.
Jamaal Moody, 30, was charged with assault, unlawful imprisonment, criminal mischief, and petit larceny.
He’s accused of hitting a woman several times with a belt causing physical injury. He’s also accused of holding her against her will- refusing to let the victim leave.
Deputies said Moody also took her phone away, preventing the victim from calling 911.
He was transported to the Wayne County Jail for arraignment.
Following his arrest deputies said Moody also faced charges for failure to appear for unrelated drug charges.
