Local healthcare systems are announcing whether the vaccine mandate will impact them, and Auburn Community Hospital has announced that they do not expect any sort of interruption to their regular services.
“We respect that employees have differing opinions about the COVID-19 vaccines; however, it is the responsibility of the hospital to abide by Public Health Law regulations – we do not have a choice in this matter. We do expect a small number of resignations, however; the general consensus is that Auburn Community Hospital will continue to be able to provide the same excellent care for anyone who comes through our doors. We don’t expect any interruption of healthcare services for our patients or our community,” stated Jessica Mayo, Vice President of Human Resources.
Leadership in the hospital has been meeting with employees to discuss any questions or concerns staff may have about this vaccine for the last several weeks leading up to the mandate.
