Local artists from Finger Lakes Community College’s class of 1977 will display their art in Wayne County

The Main Gallery at Wayne County Council for the Arts will put a Finger Lakes Community College professor’s art on display as well as 4 of his former students from 1977.

Wayne Williams and his former FLCC students Geoffrey Barber, Elaine Liberio, Mary Christopher and, in memoriam, Jim Smith, will have their art on display for the public through Oct. 2.

Williams grew up in Wayne County and has been an artist all his life.

John Hume and Kimberly Ferguson will be displaying their work in the Williams and Fayad galleries.

Hume also graduated from FLCC in 1977 and will show his work “Old Friends.”

Ferguson will be showing her “Abandoned, Decay, and Ice” photo gallery.

A reception will be held Sept. 18 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the council’s headquarters.

The gallery is open 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursdays and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
