Waverly man arrested for sexual abuse of a 9-year-old

Waverly Police announced the arrest of a man on a felony sex abuse charge involving a 9-year-old.

Christopher Henson, 34, of Waverly, was arrested for one charge of felony sexual abuse in the first degree on Aug. 26.

Waverly Police Department and Tioga County Child Protection Services investigated allegations made against Henson where he allegedly sexually abused the child two times in April and May of 2021.

It happened at a home in Waverly.

Following arraignment he was released by the court to await further legal action.
