Corning-Painted Post School District starts school just after Labor Day, and plans have been announced.
Kathy Hochul recently enforced mandates for schools, one being teachers being vaccinated or testing weekly.
Students will return in person and no longer attend school with a hybrid model.
One thing that will change whether the school needs to go remote is if guidelines change and require the 6 foot social distancing.
Screening will be done when parents drop their kids off and the school will have 24 hour cleaning.
Mask mandates will be in place based on what Hochul requires and transmission rates for the area.
If students need to quarantine they will use Google Classroom.
A virtual Town Hall meeting about the reopening will be held Aug. 31 at 5:30 p.m.
