An analysis on COVID vaccines and breakthrough cases released by the New York State Department of Health says that 95% of vaccinated individuals with breakthrough cases avoided hospitalization.
It also said that the overall effectiveness of the vaccines dropped by 92-80% overall.
The analysis also said that New York residents were 8 times more likely to contract COVID and 11 times more likely to require hospitalization.
The analysis can be found in the CDC’s Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report series.
