Police: Rock Stream man had prescription medication in his system at time of June crash

The Penn Yan Police Department reports the arrest of a Rock Stream man following a crash on June 27.

Patrick Sipley, 24, was arrested on August 11 after an investigation into the June crash in the village.


At that time, at a local business, Sipley operated a vehicle in a parking lot- colliding with two other vehicles, causing extensive damage.

Initial investigation at the scene determined that he was impaired. After, he failed a series of field sobriety tests. A chemical analysis of his blood showed a substantial amount of prescription medication in his system.

He was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs. The charge will be answered at a later date.
