$200 million more dollars are available for a fifth round of the Downtown Revitalization Initiative.
The money will be disbursed to 10 Regional Economic Development Council regions for projects to bring like to their downtowns.
Governor Cuomo stated that the project bolsters new and existing businesses as well as aiding in the creation of jobs while boosting arts and cultural venues for locals and tourists.
Oswego, Elmira, Watkins Glen and Hornell have all received $10 million in funding from the DRI.
With this round, regions can obtain up to $20 million in DRI funding.
