Man arrested after attempting to steal and sell scrap metal from auto shop

After scrap metal came up missing from an auto shop, a Steuben County man has been arrested.

Branchport Auto had missing scrap metal investigated which led to the arrest of Nicholas Taylor of Pulteney.


Taylor is accused of both stealing and attempting to sell the stolen scrap metal.

His license revealed multiple suspensions and several unanswered summonses.

Taylor will appear in Jerusalem Town Court at a later date for petit larceny and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
