The Penn Yan Police Department reports the arrest of a Bath Road resident following an investigation into a 911 call.
Lisa Bates, 56, of Penn Yan was arrested Tuesday after an investigation into a report made over a 911 call. Bates is accused of calling 911 to report a physical domestic incident between two other people, which she said resulted in injuries.
Investigation determined that the incident never occurred and no one was hurt.
As result, Bates was charged with falsely reporting an incident and making a punishable false written statement.
She was processed and the charges will be answered at a later date.
