The Village of Union Springs’ Local Waterfront Revitalization Program was approved by the state, an announcement made by New York Secretary of State Rossana Rosado on Thursday.
The program was prepared with the Department of State and the Environmental Protection Fund granted $58,000.
The village will now move forward with 52 waterfront projects that will help to revitalize abandoned, deteriorated and underutilized sites; improve pedestrian access to the waterfront; encourage development of hospitality services for boating tourists; protect scenic quality and enhance visual access to the waterfront; and improve water quality.
