Police say a Canandaigua man was taken into custody after a violent incident in the city on June 11.
It happened around 1:09 p.m., according to officers, who say Christopher Williams, 41, was taken into custody- charged with first-degree criminal contempt.
Williams is accused of violating a stay away order of protection by having contact with the protected party- then subjecting that person to physical contact.
He’s further accused of dragging the person off of their bed, and throwing them against a wall. A television and mirror were also damaged in the incident.
Williams was processed and taken to the Ontario County Jail for arraignment.
