With June being Adopt a Shelter Cat Month, the Finger Lakes SPCA has made all adoptions of cats 6 months and older half price.
The cost includes spay or neuter surgery, testing for FIV and leukemia, all up to date vaccinations including distemper, rabies and feline kennel cough, along with treatment for any parasites.
Carol Russell, the Executive Director, says the York Street shelter should return to its normal operating hours with a couple of weeks.
The hours right now are Monday, Tuesday Wednesday from 12 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 3:45 p.m.
If a visitor is not vaccinated it is asked that they wear a mask when in the shelter.
