The New York State Fair is happening this year.
It will run the full 18-day schedule, according to Governor Andrew Cuomo and other state officials, who held a press conference in Syracuse on Monday.
“We are going to have our state fair,” Cuomo said. “A lot of planning goes into place to have the state fair, so we want the vendors to know now to plan to be here.”
The event itself will be split into quadrants, which will allow officials to keep an eye on capacity. As the fair gets closer- officials expect the numbers to increase, as far as that capacity is concerned.
Beyond the fair, here’s a look at how capacity limits are changing in New York:
– Outdoor stadiums can expand from 20% to 33%.
– Offices can expand from 50% to 75%.
– Casinos will be allowed to expand from 25% to 50%.
– Gyms will be allowed to expand from 33% to 50% capacity.
