Congressman John Katko (R-24) announced this week that $5 gold coins, $1 silver coins, and half dollar clad coins would be produced to honor Harriet Tubman.
They will be known as the Harriet Tubman Bicentennial Commemorative Coin.
The move to put Tubman on the $20 bill has been resumed.
The money that is made from the coins will be paid to the Harriet Tubman home in Auburn, as well as the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center in Ohio.
