The IRS has re-launched the ‘Get My Payment’ tool for those curious about their stimulus check status.
As of Sunday the system is working.
Over the weekend some individuals began receiving $1,400 checks, which were approved as part of the $1.9 trillion COVID relief package signed into law by President Joe Biden last week.
The $1,400 checks will go out to those who make less than $75,000, or joint-filers who make less than $150,000.
“The payments will be delivered automatically to taxpayers even as the IRS continues delivering regular tax refunds,” IRS Commissioner Chuck Rettig said in a statement.
Most will have these payments delivered via direct deposit, or through a preloaded debit card.
Around 85% of the American population will be eligible.
