South Seneca girls suffer first loss as Batavia-Notre Dame takes Class D1 championship

First year head coach Charity Couch and her South Seneca Lady Falcons rolled to the Finger Lakes West title and continued to dominate opponents to reach Saturday night’s Section V Class D1 Championship game which was played in Ovid at the Jack Guinan Gymnasium.

Their opponent, Batavia-Notre Dame would be the first team to keep the Falcons in check and handed South Seneca their first loss of the season, 55-48, and capture the Section V Class D1 title.

For South Seneca, Alissa Fletcher led the way with 12 points while Logan Shaulis and Allison Kenyon scored 11 points each in the loss. Lea Fletcher added 8 points while Emma Fletcher scored 5.

South Seneca’s 2021 season ends with a record of 13-1.
