Rep. Reed leaves door open to running for governor in 2022

Is Tom Reed going to run for governor when his House term comes to an end in 2022?

In a back-and-forth between New York’s Republican Congressional Delegation and Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s administration – Reed, who serves in the 23rd District – has been viewed as a lead contender among Republicans.

“Where the political future takes me, it will take me. I’m well aware of my commitments to the public. And I will leave that to the public,” Rep. Reed said, leaving the door open on a possible run for governor.
