A portion of State Route 34 was shut down in both direction during the overnight hours due to a crash, according to transportation authorities.
The closure was between Long Hill and Myers roads in the town of Venice due to an overturned tractor-trailer.
It was reported a little after 3 a.m., and was expected to last two hours. Around 5:30 a.m. another message was published by transportation officials, who said that the roadway would remain closed for another two hours.
Light snow fell during the overnight hours throughout the Finger Lakes and Central New York.
It’s not clear if weather played a role in the crash or subsequent closure.
