Police: Canandaigua man charged with contempt after sending text messages to protected party

The Canandaigua Police Department reports the arrest of a 31-year-old following an investigation into a domestic incident.

Thomas Fathergill, 31, of Canandaigua violated a court order by sending multiple text messages to a person protected by a court order.

That person had a no contact order in place, according to police, who say that Fathergill was charged with second-degre contempt.

He was arraigned and is set to answer the charge at a later date in local court.
