New York State Assembly Candidate Jeff Gallahan thanked supporters on Wednesday after a strong showing on Election Day.
After Tuesday, Gallahan held an approximately 12,000 vote lead. His opponent, Democrat Matt Miller from Canandaigua, did not release any statement.
“Thank you to all of the voters of the 131st Assembly District that entrusted me with their vote,” Gallahan said. “My victory tonight is not mine alone, it is a victory for our entire District to bring new and trusted leadership to Albany.”
In that statement, Gallahan said that he looked forward to working for the taxpayers of the 131st District, which includes Ontario and Seneca counties.
Absentee ballots will be counted next week.
