Drug Take Back Day coming to South Seneca this weekend

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office says it will hold a Drug Take Back Day in South Seneca.

The event will happen at the Law Enforcement Center on State Route 96 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.

It’s being done in collaboration between the Seneca County Sheriff’s Department and DEA.

Eligible for return will be potentially dangerous, expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs for destruction. This service is free and anonymous with no questions asked and no paperwork to complete.

“Take Back Day is a safe, convenient and responsible way to dispose of unused or expired prescription drugs. It is important to get these potentially dangerous drugs out of your home before they find a new home,” Sheriff Tim Luce said.

Syringes and needles are not eligible.
