Police say a 67-year-old Rochester man is facing a serious charge after stealing more than $30,000 from a person who suffered from dementia.
Gordon King, 67, of Rochester was charged with one count of third-degree grand larceny, a felony.
Police say the investigation spanned more than a year – and between September 2014 and July 2019 King was caring for an elderly person who suffered from dementia.
During this time, King is said to have systematically stole more than $30,000.
King was taken to the Ontario County Jail and an order of protection was issued on behalf of the victim.
