While no official press release was sent to local media outlets – the Geneva Police Department is said to have made an arrest in the investigation that was taking place on Thursday at the Castle Minimart.
The Finger Lakes Times reported that officials with the Geneva Police Department planned to release an update later Thursday, but that never came.
Instead over the weekend, it was reported in the FLT that an underage defendant was charged with third-degree burglary.
Police said the individual broke into the store, smashed a window, and took vaping pods, tobacco products, food, and around $500 in cash.
The scene was taped off to the public for several hours on Thursday as crews worked the scene.
